Family Camp
Yesterday we received word from the Hungarian education ministry that Ami was accepted as a student at the University of Pecs for the fall semester. This is an answer to prayer, not because we had prayed that she would be accepted, but because we had prayed for God to use this decision as guidance to help Ami decide what God’s will is for her future studies. Thank you for praying for this matter.

Although Hungary celebrates Mothers’ Day, Women’s Day and Children’s Day, they have no national celebration for fathers. As a church, however, we honor our fathers. Sunday, the children sang a song and presented gifts the the fathers who came. Click pictures to enlarge.

This evening we celebrated the fifteenth anniversary of Bible Baptist Church of Pecs. After observing the Lord’s Supper and hearing a stirring message about reaching the lost from Jim Knies, we enjoyed chocolate cake and fellowship together. Your heart would have been warmed by the testimonies from several people of how the Lord has used Bible Baptist in their lives. Click pictures to enlarge.
Hungarians celebrate Mother’s Day on the first Sunday in May, rather than the second. Here are some pictures taken this morning. Sixty people attended, including 19 mothers. The children enacted the story of Hannah and Samuel. Click pictures to enlarge.
Today I began teaching the book of Proverbs to a group of university students from Nigeria, Germany and Norway. Four came for the first class, a good start. Please pray for growth in this new ministry.
